About FACPSU 2004

美国南部11个州,吸引了数万名中国旅美专家、学者和留学生在这里工作和学习, 活跃着数十个华裔旅美专业团体。为了促进美南地区中国旅美专业团体之间的深入联系与合作，加强美南地区中国旅美专家和学者之间的专业学术交流，同时促进美南地区中国旅美专业团体及专业人才与中国在人才,科技及商务方面的深入交流与合作，美南中国专家协会联合会将于2004年9月17－19日在美国奥兰多市召开第五届联席会议，同时举办2004美南中美高级人才与经济科技发展研讨会。

研讨会的重点将集中于高级人才与科技发展的若干专题。研讨会将组织专题论坛，邀请美南地区中国旅美专家与国内有关部门专家参加，共同讨论中国今后经济及科技发展以及中国旅美专业人才回国创业的机会与前景。大会将邀请国内十多家留学归国人员创业园和孵化器、十多家正在国际引智开发的中国企业和有关部门、十多家正在投资和开拓海外市场的中国高新技术企业、和美南地区许多企业、团体、项目、特别是中国留学生和学者进行技术交流、转让、合资、投资等产业化系列活动。

The 2004 Sino-US Symposium on Human Resources & Hi-Tech Development as well as the Fifth Conference of Federation of Associations of Chinese Professionals in Southern USA will be held at Days Inn Hotel Maingate West, Orlando, Florida, on September 17-19, 2004. Hosted by Federation of Associations of Chinese Professionals in Southern USA (FACPSU), China Association of Science and Technology (CAST), China Association for International Exchange of Personnel (CAIEP), China Council for the Promotion of Applied Technology Exchanges (CCPAT), The Western Returned Scholars Association, and the Orlando Chinese Professionals Association (OCPA), the symposium is held biannually to promote friendship between member associations of FACPSU. Moreover, it encourages science and technology exchanges between Chinese professionals and scholars. In addition, the symposium serves as a forum for a variety of policymakers from both China and the local government. Over years, it has attracted successful entrepreneurs as its featured speakers. The 2004 symposium will contain the following sessions:

1. A plenary session on global competition and human resources strategies.
2. A plenary session on economic and scientific exchange and advancement between China and US.
3. A plenary session on overseas returned scholars’ entrepreneurs.
4. A special session on career development in America.
5. A special session on Job and opportunities in China.

With such advantages, the symposium plans to attract renowned scholars, experts and successful entrepreneurs from both China and USA, in addition to delegates from twenty subsidiary associations of FACPSU in the southern states. The attendees will be able to take this opportunity to share their ideas on the exchange and advancement of science and technology, discuss various issues related to economic developments, and engage in business talks.
